The Spaniard reveals the side has perfect in everything
Manchester City will be facing Cardiff in a bid to topple Liverpool from the top of the Premier League. With seven games to go, the pressure on both the sides to win the Premier League is more than ever. City after facing Cardiff will be facing Brighton in the semi final of the F.A Cup and then will travel to White Hart Lane to face Tottenham in the quarter finals of the Champions League. Even though Pep Guardiola denied his side can will all four competitions his side have a serious chance of winning the quadruple. Guardiola has revealed which is the best team he has faced so far.

Guardiola rates Jurgen Klopp’s side as one of the best sides he has ever faced and thinks City’s title rivals have ‘everything’. Pep Guardiola heaped praise on Liverpool for transforming themselves into title challengers this season. Manchester City are in a real battle to retain their Premier League title, with Liverpool currently two points ahead of the Sky Blues. While Liverpool have played a game more, City have spent the majority of the season chasing the Reds. Guardiola told Sky Sports, “They are one of the strongest teams I have faced. They have everything. They have good tactics, they have great defensive strength, they have very good high pressing and they have a very good counter-attack. They had some problems with their positional play before, but that has improved a lot too. ‘Liverpool have everything. That’s why it’s so close.” Guardiola’s side met Liverpool four times last season and were beaten on three of those occasions, with the five-time European Cup winners knocking City out of the Champions League with a convincing 5-1 aggregate victory 12 months ago.
However, it was City who triumphed domestically as they strolled to the title virtually unopposed last season. City are currently two points behind a Reds team that have lost just one game all season, but Wednesday night’s visit from Cardiff offers the champions a chance to regain top spot. Jurgen Klopp’s side have won 24 of their 32 games so far losing only to Guardiola’s men back in January and the City manager has talked up the size of the task of edging out the Reds over the final five weeks of the Premier League campaign. Guardiola warned his players it would be a ‘huge mistake’ to focus too much on Liverpool’s results, urging his stars to focus on themselves.
Author’s Take:
It will be one of the most pulsating title race the Premier League has seen over the years. Both the sides have pressure on them and given Guardiola’s poor record against Liverpool, Guardiola is right to say Liverpool is the toughest side he has faced.
