AS Roma star forward Edin Dzeko is confident of overcoming the La Liga giants during their quarter-final tie in the Champions League.
La Blaugrana is currently flying high in the Spanish League and look favorites to win the title as well as win the Copa Del Rey Final against Sevilla later in April. Despite Roma being underdogs against the mighty Barcelona, Dzeko has not ruled out his team just yet.

Dzeko On Barcelona Clash-
The 32-year-old striker spoke to di Novi and discussed the possibility of his side going through to the semi-finals of the competition but also added that their opponents are one of the best clubs in the world, “Barcelona is favored not only against us but also in terms of winning this seasons Champions League.”
However, the Bosnian also stated that if Roma plays well as a team, they could unhinge the Catalonians, “If we once again play as a team, we could achieve something positive. It was thanks to the whole team that we managed to reach the quarter-finals, not just one player.”
Dzeko also added that he is enjoying playing his football at the Italian capital and is proud of their achievements so far, “I was proud to have been part of the team. The job of an attacker is to score and I am happy to have been part of the team’s success”.
Roma will need their in-form keeper Alisson to put on a great show over the two legs to keep the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele at bay, something English champions, Chelsea failed to do. However, with the Serie A side drawing Barcelona in the Champions League draw, both fans and critics don’t give them a chance against the only unbeaten side left in Europe’s Top Five leagues.
Author’s Take-
Certainly, Barcelona is beatable but Roma will need to bring their best foot forward and not make any silly errors at the back or else they may get punished. Having entered the quarterfinals, each team has a great chance of going through to the next round.
