According to the Mumbai Mirror report, RCB was considering to trade Shivam Dubey in this year’s auction. Shivam Dubey has shown some great performances in the last one year, but despite this Royal Challengers Bangalore is going to release him. The report in Mumbai Mirror has confirmed this, as well. They have not revealed the reason behind their decision.
The IPL 2020 Auction is not far away
All franchises have until November 14 to retain and release players. After this, players will be under the hammer for the new season on December 19. The team’s new director Mike Hesson and the new coaches have decided to release him. If RCB releases Shivam Dubey, he could be the most expensive player in the IPL auction.
Shivam Dubey has some massive stats in this year’s domestic tournaments
In the Vijay Hazare Trophy against Karnataka, he scored 118 runs in 67 balls. His Innings consisted of 7 fours and 10 sixes. Previously he had also played well against South Africa A and West Indies A. He may even get a chance to make his T20I debut against Bangladesh, and his role in the series is going to be that of a match finisher.
