The Maharashtra state player did well in the second test match against South Africa. He went on to pick up seven wickets in the first innings which was his career-best. But the Lord also went on to contribute with the bat by scoring much-needed runs in the second innings.

However, this was not enough against South Africa. It was because the Proteas went on to beat India by seven wickets in the second test match. They went on to chase down a total of 240 runs with sheer ease in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Shardul Thakur went on to abuse Temba Bavuma in frustration. Temba Bavuma had stopped the Lord in his run-up. And Shardul Thakur was quite angry at that. He said, “What The F**K Man” to Temba Bavuma.
