Maurizio Sarri has discussed whether Alvaro Morata will be included against Arsenal this weekend after speculation of him leaving Chelsea.
It’s an open secret that Chelsea are lacking in attacking third. Chelsea have scored the least number of goals in top 5. Sarri wants to bring a goal scoring striker. Chelsea are close to signing to Gonzalo Higuain and Alvaro Morata could be on his way to join Atletico Madrid on loan. Blues boss Maurizio Sarri has addressed Alvaro Morata future.

Chelsea travel across London to the Emirates with two continuing transfer sagas hanging over their head. A loan deal for Gonzalo Higuain is said to be close. The AC Milan forward is expected to be a Chelsea player in the coming days. The striker’s arrival will lead to the departure of Alvaro Morata, who has consistently struggled since his arriver in 2017. For the time being, the Spaniard is available for selection against Arsenal on Saturday evening, but Maurizio Sarri has hinted he may not use Morata at the Emirates. Sarri told reporters, “I don’t know if he will play. But he is training with us, of course. It’s normal, I think. It’s not of course, for him, I think it’s a very difficult moment.”
He further said that it’s normal to for a player to be linked with a move in January. Sarri said, “But it’s normal for a player in January to be involved in the market. So I think that he’s available. Then, like in the last match, I can choose something different.”
Morata signed a five-year deal when moving to Stamford Bridge but has left out of the squad for five of their past seven Premier League games. The former Madrid striker is close to returning to Spain. Atletico Madrid are leading the race to sign Morata on loan until the end of the season.
It seems Morata could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge. The Spaniard needs an injection of confidence and a move to Spain might help him. The striker lacks confidence and has been poor for Chelsea this season. He has struggled to score goals and was even omitted out of matchday squads recently. It remains to be seen whether the Spaniard will play ever in a Chelsea shirt again.
