While the game of cricket has witnessed truly glorious moments in the passage of play, it has also witnessed dark incidents as well. The future is unpredictable and accidents tend to happen during the game and in public places as well.
Recently, Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik narrowly escaped from a car crash in Lahore. The cricketer breathed a sigh of relief after the accident and thanked the almighty for his existence.
In what was a dangerous accident on Sunday, the Pakistan all-rounder accidentally crashed his sports car into a truck parked outside a restaurant in Lahore. The accident occurred right after he returned from the 2021 Pakistan Super League draft.
It is to be noted that the Pakistani international marked his presence for the PSL draft as a special guest for Peshawar Zalmi franchise. The PSL 2021 draft took quite a lot of time and it spanned for more than half a day.

It has been learnt that more than 400 international cricketers went under the hammer in the auction that was conducted at the National High-Performance Centre (NHPC) in Lahore.
Shoaib Malik safe and well after the car crash
The all-rounder who was involved in a late-night car crash in Lahore is uninjured. He is safe and well. What happened earlier? After the PSL draft stretched till night around 9 pm, the veteran all-rounder was returning to his hotel from the NHPC.
At that time, the cricketer totally lost control of his car and accidentally rammed a truck that was parked outside a nearby restaurant. As per sources from SAMAA TV, Sania Mirza’s husband was attempting to go past his teammate Wahab Riaz’s car when the unfortunate accident occured.
After losing control of his car, Shoaib did his best to escape from a collision but as it turned out, he ended up damaging the front part of his car. Luckily, the former Pakistani captain was able to get out of his vehicle in time and avoided any serious injury.
Just minutes after the incident happened, fans from the cricket fraternity chipped in with wishes and prayer tweets. However, the cricketer himself confirmed that he left from the car uninjured and thanked his fans and also Almighty for the love.

Meanwhile, an eyewitness from the incident was quoted as saying, “Shoaib Malik Sahab was sitting in the car. He was present on the spot, and I tried to take a video of him but he requested me not to.”
What’s next for Shoaib Malik?
It’s been a long time since Malik played competitive cricket. His form in the shortest format of the game is really impressive. Last season, he came through with flying colours in Lanka Premier League campaign for Jaffna Stallions where he essayed 203 runs.
The Pakistani all-rounder will ply his trade as Platinum-tier player for Peshawar in this season’s PSL. He would be looking forward to playing well in this year’s Pakistan franchise cricket in order to cement his spot in the Indian team before the forthcoming T20 World Cup tournament in India.
