According to Diario Gol, Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi is all set to veto Layvin Kurzawa’s arrival at Barcelona from Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcelona has been offered the chance to sign France International left-back Layvin Kurzawa from Paris Saint-Germain before the start of the 2018/19 campaign, according to Sport. Kurzawa moved to the city of lights from Monaco in the summer of 2015.
Since completing his move to the French Giants, the left-back has made 70 appearances for Parisians, but Sport reported that the Frenchmen is ready to leave the Parc des Princes after having grown frustrated with the lack of playing time given to him under Unai Emery.
The French defender, 25, has seen Yuri Berchiche take his spot at Paris Saint-Germain. After seeing all this, Kurzawa parted ways with his agent and hired Moussa Sissoko in place of him with a clear mission of getting him a new club ahead of the summer transfer window.
Sport also reported that it would cost Barcelona around €25 Million to lure Kurzawa away from Paris Saint-Germain and it is also understood that it could be a reasonable fee given the current inflated market. It is said that Barcelona could consider the proposal for the player as Ernesto Valverde is looking for a new back to replace Lucas Digne at the club.

But Messi – who is a hugely influential figure at Barcelona – doesn’t want Kurzawa at the club. It is said that Messi in suspicious of star’s potential arrival after having been left unimpressed with Lucas Digne’s time at the Camp Nou.
Digne was a €16 Million arrival from the Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2016. However, he had failed to put up any trees despite being highly rated in France.
Messi reportedly wants the club to snap up world class players like Philippe Coutinho. The Brazilian playmaker completed his move from Liverpool to Barcelona for around €160 Million and Lionel Messi was finally delighted to see him at the club.
Barcelona is off to flying start this season and are looking forward to bolstering of their squad for future competitions. The Catalans are riding high following a complete capitulation by arch-rivals Real Madrid. Valverde’s men are a whopping 19 points clear of Real Madrid despite Zinedine Zidane securing La Liga and Champions League glory last term.
The Catalans continued their flying start to the season on Thursday night as they entered the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey by winning with a 3-0 aggregate over Valencia.
Layvin Kurzawa might be a good fit at Barcelona. With his speed, athleticism and crossing ability he can surely fit in Barcelona’s squad. But especially after Lucas Digne’s unsuccessful stint at Barcelona, it looks like Catalans won’t go ahead for Kurzawa, as there is also a possibility that he might fail to live up to the expectations of the club.
