With Thibaut Courtois’ future still to be secure with Chelsea, the club has shortlisted England goalkeeper Joe Hart as a potential replacement for the Belgian.
Real Madrid’s pursuit for the Belgium goalkeeper has been well documented with the club looking to replace Keylor Navas between the sticks. Courtois is yet to commit his future to the club having only time till the end of next season on his contract. The London side is reportedly willing to offer 200,000 a week to keep the 25-year-old at Stamford Bridge.
The Belgian is rumored to be interested in a move to Madrid with his family there since his time at Atletico Madrid and could be on his way unless Chelsea gets him to pledge his future at the club. Recently, Eden Hazard who himself is under the radar talked about the Belgian duo’s contract situation and stated that they are close to signing an improved deal with Courtois to sign first.
Joe Hart set to replace the Belgian?

The 30-year-old is the leading candidate in Chelsea’s shortlist should Courtois make the switch to Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Hart, on the other hand, has fallen down the pecking order at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola with signings Claudio Bravo and Ederson getting the nod ahead.
The England International has spent the last 2 seasons with Torino FC and now with West Ham under loan spells with Guardiola open for the transfer of the stopper. Hart finds himself on the bench lately with recently appointed manager David Moyes preferring Adrian over the on-loan Manchester City goalkeeper.
Chelsea can’t afford to let Courtois go with the goalkeeper playing a stellar role in the Blues’ success in recent years. In case Courtois is to leave Stamford Bridge, replacement in form of Joe Hart is definitely not the answer with the 30-year-old well past his prime. Chelsea could look for young emerging keepers such as Jack Butland who has been linked before.
