Madrid midfield man Toni Kroos is reportedly tempted to make a move to England to join Manchester United.
As Real Madrid have had a disastrous defense to their title campaign this season, the Los Blancos are planning a massive change of personnel in the summer transfer window with a bunch of top players to be sold. The most recent player to join that list has been German international Toni Kroos, who has had a very little impact on Madrid’s football this term. However, he is in a shocking transfer pool which could see him join Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
Kroos set for a stint in the Premier League?
The Red Devils have been interested in finding a replacement for Michael Carrick who is set to retire at the end of this season. And Mourinho has long wanted Kroos to join him at Old Trafford ever since he took charge of the Manchester outfit. Kroos has won Champions League titles with Bayern Munich as well as Real Madrid and will certainly upgrade the midfield department for United.
According to the Daily Star, Kroos was United’s prime target in the summer and Mourinho was set to line up a £100 million bid in order to lure him from the Santiago Bernabeu, which would have been great business for both clubs. Having adapted to Spanish and German football with ease, the former Bayern Munich star should not have any problems with adjusting to life in England.
The 28-year-old midfield maestro is reportedly tempted to join the Red Devils as he wants a new challenge according to news outlet Don Balon. Having won everything there is to win with the La Liga giants; the German now wants a new objective and has a firm stand on joining United.
I think Toni Kroos will leave for Manchester United this summer; he has not been performing at his usual best this season and Madrid will allow him to go. A top club like United will definitely snap him up as their Portuguese boss has shown tremendous interest in Kroos
