Interestingly a funny incident took place in the game which caught everyone’s attention. It happened in the 37th over of the second innings. Facing Michael Neser, Brendan Doggett hit a big shot into the deep square leg region.

As many as three players including Travis Head ran towards the ball to take the catch. Travis Head caught the ball but threw the ball inside the boundary ropes as he lost his balance. One of the other two fielders surrounded him then caught the ball only to pass it to the third fielder as he lost his balance too.

The third bowler did take the catch but his foot touched the boundary rope which eventually resulted in a six. The video didn’t take a lot of time to circulate on social media. The fans have different reactions to the video.

A user on Twitter said jokingly that it should be awarded 18 runs. The third match of the Australia Domestic One-Day Cup 2021-22 was played between Western Australia and Tasmania. Tasmania batted first and posted 218 runs in the first innings.

Skipper Ashton Turner scored a century off 121 balls but there was little contribution from other batsmen. And for Tasmania, Riley Meredith and Siddle picked three wickets each. Tasmania, in reply, chased down the score in just 43.5 overs.

It was Ben McDermott who set the tone with a useful half-century, while skipper Jordan Silk scored a match-winning unbeaten 90 off 99 deliveries. Also, Beau Webster contributed 39 runs off 59 balls, including 5 fours.

Andrew Tye picked four wickets for Western Australia in the second innings but to no avail. Meanwhile, the Australian Cricket Team are all set to participate in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2021. They will begin their campaign against South Africa on 23rd October at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium.
