An absolutely bonkers game that saw cards, controversy and most importantly for City a loss for the previously undefeated Liverpool means that the title race that was threatening to slip away from the holders is back on track, with Leroy Sane scoring the winner after Roberto Firmino has cancelled out Sergio Aguero’s opener. And while the FA Cup schedule is a welcome break for the league leaders, we cannot wait for the league to resume next weekend!

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp seemed uncomfortably keen in observing City’s payers warm up on the pitch around an hour prior to kick-off. The German, wearing his trademark club tracksuit and baseball cap, stood near the halfway line with hands in his pockets while scanning the home side being put through their stretching drills.
