Pakistan’s opening batsman Mohammad Rizwan has reacted to the heartbreaking defeat against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2022 final in Dubai.

Rizwan led the batting attack by example in the run-chase as he scored 55 runs off 49 deliveries with the help of 4 boundaries and a six. Apart from him, Iftikhar Ahmed scored 31 runs.

The rest of the Pakistan batters failed to live up to their reputation. In the end, Pakistan succumbed to a defeat at the hands of belligerent Sri Lankan cricket team.

After the game, Rizwan stated that the team made mistakes in the important clash. At the same time, he also reminded everyone that they are humans.

“We made mistakes, but we are also human. We played well throughout the tournament. Today we lost the momentum in the first innings. In T20 cricket, whichever team has better momentum during the break has the advantage,” Rizwan said after the match.

“I think if any team thinks about toss, then they are not a champion team. Sri Lanka were that today, they didn’t think of toss. And then they hurt us for our mistakes. They deserved to be champions,” he added.
