Welsh Wizard scores a hat-trick and helps his side reach the Club World Cup final again.
It seems Real Madrid may end 2018 with a trophy. The Los Blancos had a forgettable past six months. Club star Cristiano Ronaldo left the club in summer. Manager Zinedine Zidane who led the club to three Champions League title in 3 years left the team. They started the season in a disastrous way with the club languishing at fourth spot in La Liga. However, Real Madrid boss Santiago Solari was in full praise for Bale as the Los Blancos reach the Club World Cup final again.
Santiago Solari lauded Gareth Bale’s performance after the Wales international scored a hat-trick to send Real Madrid through to the Club World Cup final. The Welsh wizard answered his and Madrid’s doubters with a towering performance. Bale turned on the style against AFC Champions League winners Kashima Antlers on Wednesday, with his goals securing a 3-1 victory for Madrid to set up a clash with Al Ain.
And Solari praised Bale – who found the net twice in the Spanish side’s Champions League final win over Liverpool back in May, for consistently delivering in the big moments. Solari said, “I’m happy for the three goals scored by Bale and for the solidity and consistency of the team. Bale has taken everything, the spotlight, the stage, the goal.
He had a sensational match, he has shown what he is and what he is capable of. In the end, the last person responsible for a performance is always the footballer. “ Solari also said how important Bale has been for Madrid in big moments. He said, “Gareth has given great joy to Madrid and has been decisive in very important moments, which is the most important part of football. What dominates football is goals and Bale scores them.”
Author’s take:
It’s good to see Gareth Bale on the scoring sheet. The Welshman was brought to Madrid to score goals consistently. Bale’s hat-trick may give him the confident to score more. There’s no denying that the Welshman steps up for Real Madrid in big moments. Solari must be hoping the former Tottenham star scores goals in La Liga as well.
