Former captain of the Indian team Sourav Ganguly has been elected to become the BCCI President. After his election on October 23, his name will get stamped entirely. All BCCI officials have agreed to his name. Congratulations to Sourav Ganguly on social media have also started. Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee also tweeted and congratulated him.
Ganguly’s challenge to bring India ICC trophy
India has been one of the most consistent and successful teams in the world in the last three years. Since 2016 India has won a total of 129 matches and lost only 50. No other team has achieved this much victory except India. India’s win-loss ratio has been 2.58. Even though the Indian team is winning matches continuously, still India has not won a single ICC trophy since 2013.
How to win big matches is an issue for Sourav Ganguly
Sourav Ganguly said in a statement, “India has not won any ICC trophy since 2013. India was eliminated from the semi-finals in the last two World Cups and lost in the 2014 T20 World Cup final, but I think they are a better team than that. This is the only area where they need to prepare themselves mentally. India has the right talent; only then they play so well till the semi-finals. We have to see how they perform well on important matches and do not put too much pressure on themselves.”
Need to talk to Virat on this issue according to Sourav Ganguly
Sourav Ganguly further said, “This is an issue that needs we need to discuss with Virat. My only thing is that they need to win big tournaments. I am not saying that they need to win every time. It is not possible, but we have gone through seven big tournaments without a win. Five of which were of men and two of women.”
