Spanish Giants Pay Tribute to The Colombian Plane Crash Victims

Spanish rivals as well as one of the great teams in football world FC Barcelona and Real Madrid came together to pay a tribute to the victims of Colombian Plane crash which occurred this Monday.

This accident which is also called as one of the “Black Days in History of Football” was carrying the Brazilian first division team which was headed for finals of Copa Sudamericana.

The chartered plane split into two soon after which it crashed in the mountains of Columbia.

According to reports there were 72 passengers on board plus 9 crew members out of which 74 people died.

Amongst the dead were 19 members of the Brazilian team and 3 survived however did face several injuries.

In this tragic incident there were only 6 survivors in which there were three team players and 3 passenger.

The club on its website says they are still unsure how these players managed to survive.

Giving a statement the club’s spokesperson said “Given the conflicting reports emerging from different journalistic sources concerning the crash of the plane carrying the Chapecoense players, the Chapecoense football association through it vice-president, Ivan Tozzo, is refraining from comment and awaiting official announcements from the Colombian air authorities.
