Sreesanth showcased his bowling potential with a great example in a video that spread like wildfire across social media platforms.

Sreesanth has been in the dark zone for seven years. The fast bowler was found guilty in the 2013 IPL season for his infamous match-fixing claims. After being linked with a series of controversies, he was banned for life by the BCCI.

India’s cricket body didn’t spare the fast bowler for bringing shame to the gentleman’s game. His life took a turn after the ban was reduced to seven years.

After being in the dark zone for seven long years, his suspension ended on September 13, Sunday. Sreesanth is pretty much confident that he still has up to 7 years of cricket left in him.

The fast bowler’s last match appearance came against Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium while playing for the Rest of India (ROI) in the first-class match in February 2013.

It has been seven years since the fans saw him bowling on 22 yards. Despite being away from the game, Sreesanth proved that he still has a lot more spirit left in him.

What’s next for Sreesanth?

Sreesanth is looking forward to making a grand comeback to competitive cricket. Even Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) is keen to have him in their camp. KCA further added saying that there has been no progress about the same.

KCA also made it clear that hasn’t yet got a notification about the completion of Sreesanth’s ban from the BCCI. Meanwhile, as per reports and several media outlets, Sreesanth could make a comeback for Kerala very soon.

The reports of fast bowler making a stellar comeback for Kerala is doing the rounds as well. However, Kerala’s head coach identified as Tinu Yohanan echoed that his comeback totally depends on his form and fitness levels.

According to a reliable source in the KCA, Sreesanth could represent Kerala this season. However, there hasn’t been any development on domestic competitions for now. A source added that they held discussions with the fast bowler regarding his training and fitness.

“We hope the communication would come soon and that Sreesanth could play for Kerala this season, though there is no clarity yet on domestic competitions as of now. We have had discussions with Sreesanth about his training and fitness and we found he is very keen to play,” a source in the KCA added.

Not a long ago, Sandeep Warrier traded to Tamil Nadu, thus opening a slot for Sreesanth. The veteran pacer has bagged 87 wickets from 27 games for Kerala in the Ranji Trophy.
