Team India captain Virat Kohli is arguably the best batsman in the world. He is the only player to average in excess of 50 across formats. There is no denying that he is a complete player, a special trait that sets him apart from most other batsmen.
Kohli had an average tour playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the thirteenth edition of the IPL. Even though he was far from being impressive, he was still the team’s second-best run-scorer behind Karnataka youngster Devdutt Padikkal.
Currently, Kohli and his teammates are in Australia prepping for a tough challenge. The players of both teams are sweating it out at the training session. A week ago, the skipper posted a video clip of his batting on Twitter.
Australia and India will play the three-match ODI series starting from November 27 onwards. After the ODI series, both teams will play three T20Is followed by the four-match Test series. The tour will conclude on January 19.

We have got our strategies to stop Kohli: Stoinis
Virat Kohli is always a threat to any opposition bowling attack. Australian bowlers are aware of Kohli’s potential and they are preparing well to outsmart the Indian captain. Meanwhile, Aussie all-rounder Marcus Stoinis feels that Kohli would be extra-motivated to score runs.
According to Stoinis, Kohli will take his game to the next level since he is returning home a tad early in the tour. The Australian all-rounder is not concerned about Virat Kohli’s threat. He further disclosed the team’s game plan to get rid of Kohli.
“We’ve definitely got our strategies, we’ve had things that have worked in the past, and at other times the same plans haven’t worked, and he’s made some runs.
Obviously, he (Kohli) is a great player, and to all these good players, you do what you want to do, you have your plans, and on the day, you get extra competitive, and you hope it all falls on your side of the court,” Stoinis added further.
India tour to Australia

Team India captain Virat Kohli will be with his team till the first Test match at Adelaide Oval. After that, he will fly to India to be with his wife Anushka Sharma as the couple are expecting the birth of their first child in early January.
The first Test match ends on December 21. Kohli will not be available for the last three Tests. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma who was rested for the limited-overs series will be back to help the Indian national cricket team for the Test series.
Rohit sustained a hamstring injury during an IPL match against Kings XI Punjab in the UAE. Earlier, BCCI also ignored his name for the upcoming tour. However, after closely monitoring Rohit’s progress, the board decided to include him for the Test series.
Ajinkya Rahane who is the vice-captain of the Indian Test team is expected to lead the side from the front. With no Virat Kohli in the side for the last three Test matches, the pressure will be on Team India as far as scoring runs are concerned.
