T20 Blast 2022: Lancashire were facing off against Nottinghamshire in the Vitality Blast match. Moreover, the match was being played at the Stanley Park in Blackpool, England.
Lancashire won the toss and they decided to have a bowl first. Nottinghamshire lost their first wicket in the form of Alex Hales as he was dismissed for 22 runs from 12 balls.
Samit Patel and Daniel Christian had a fine going in the game with the bat. Daniel Christian scored 30 runs from 14 balls. While Samit Patel went on to score 45 runs from 36 balls with a strike rate of 125.00.
Samit Patel has been a vital player for Nottinghamshire and he has continued his fine form. Nottinghamshire team will be hoping for the continuation of fine form from Samit Patel.

Nottinghamshire put up 179 runs with a loss of seven wickets in the twenty overs. Lancashire could not get off to an ideal start as they lost Josh Bohannon for just 7 runs. But the middle order contribution came at the right time.
Steven Croft scored 61 runs from 44 balls while Dane Vilas scored 55 runs from 30 balls. Lancashire chased down the total in the 19th over and they won the game by six wickets.

Lancashire wicketkeeper Dane Vilas pulled off a spectacular diving catch. Ben Duckett tried to play a cheeky shot but Dane Vilas had the brilliant presence of mind for defence.
He tried to stop the ball after which the ball deflected. Dane Vilas then went on to put up a dive and took a spectacular catch dismissing Ben Duckett for 29 runs.
