Talking about the game, Babar Azam had a terrific day at the office. He thrived as a captain and a batsman. He opened the innings alongside Mohammad Rizwan and chipped in with 50 off 41 balls including 6 fours and a six.
However, Hayden Walsh Jr. dismissed him in the 12th over but that didn’t affect the team much. Pakistan was already dictating terms against West Indies. Fakhar Zaman scored an unbeaten 24-ball 46 including 4 fours and 2 sixes.
For the unversed, the Pakistan cricket team management brought Zaman from the reserves. Pakistan made changes to their 15-member squad ahead of the tournament. As far as Shadab Khan was concerned, he bowled only 2 overs where he conceded 7 runs at an economy of 3.50.
The likes of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Hasan Ali, and Haris Rauf took 2 wickets each. Imad Wasim dismissed Roston Chase. Pakistan will take on South Africa in their second warm-up match tomorrow at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
