Former Indian cricketer, Aakash Chopra is known for his analysis on the gentleman’s game. Every now and then, he comes up with his theory, prediction and so on.

Ahead of the start of the tournament, he had predicted the top three run-getters of the T20 World Cup. He had predicted David Warner, Jos Buttler and KL Rahul as the leading run-scorers of the tournament.

As it turned out, all the aforementioned names have been struggling to go about their business. Chopra’s prediction seems to be going terribly wrong.

Ever since he made his prediction, Warner chipped in with scores of 5, 11 and 3. On the other hand, Buttler scored 18, 2 in the tournament whereas KL Rahul scored 4, 9 and 9 respectively.

“I feel in the top three run-scorers, one will be David Warner. I feel he will score a lot of runs, he is in fantastic form. The second name I am choosing is Jos Buttler. He might score a hundred or two in this World Cup, there is a good possibility, he will definitely score 70 to 80 runs once or twice, that’s what I feel,” said Chopra ahead of the World Cup.

“The third player I am picking is KL Rahul. Once again, the form he is in, the sort of pitches that are there, I am expecting him to have a good World Cup. So these are my players – Jos Buttler, David Warner and KL Rahul,” said Chopra on his YouTube channel, ahead of the showpiece event.
