T20 World Cup 2022: The upcoming ICC edition of the T20 World Cup is less than three months away from going all guns blazing in Australia later in October-November.
Team India won the inaugural edition of the tournament. They beat Pakistan in the final to win their maiden title in 2007 in South Africa.
Since then, they didn’t make a bid for the second title. However, they came too close to winning the second title but Sri Lanka beat them in 2014 final.
Team India have enough resources in their arsenal and are capable of winning the coveted titles in the near future. They have got all their bases covered.

Meanwhile, Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya could be the vice-captain for the T20 World Cup. Sources say that Hardik Pandya could serve as Rohit Sharma’s deputy.
Hardik Pandya has recently showcased his leadership capability. Under his captaincy, Gujarat Titans played incredibly well as a team and went on to beat Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2022 final.
T20 World Cup 2022: Hardik Pandya could be the vice-captain
As per latest reports, it has been learnt that Hardik Pandya is probably going to be given the vice-captaincy duty owing to KL Rahul’s health issue.
Rahul has been away from the game for quite a long time now. He has also skipped many T20I series for Team India owing to continuous injuries.
“Hardik is a world-class player and it’s great to have him back in the team at full fitness. Whether he will be named vice-captain is up to the selectors.
“But he is already a leader in the group. As an all-rounder, he understands both situations. He has outstanding leadership skills and we saw that in the IPL. He will surely do well,” stated by senior official as told by InsideSport.
The 28-year-old all-rounder has worked quite a lot on his batting and bowling of late. His presence will surely play an important factor for the team going forward into the marquee event.
