T20 World Cup 2022: Due to the political tensions between India and Pakistan, both teams haven’t been playing the bilateral series for more than a decade.
The last time Pakistan visited India was back in 2012-13 and since then bilateral series was not encouraged, given the escalating tensions between both nations.
However, both nations have been locking horns with each other only during the ICC and Asia Cup events, given that it is also a neutral venue for both teams.
India locked horns with Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2022 tourney on two occasions. Both teams had their fair share of chances to go for the win in each game.
India had the upper hand in the group stage fixture, beating Pakistan by 5 wickets. On the other hand, Pakistan made a rebound in the Super 4 fixture when they beat India by 5 wickets.
Meanwhile, both teams are expected to lock horns with each other in the Super 12 stage of the ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup competition in Australia.
T20 World Cup 2022: Rain more likely to play spoilsport on the match day
There was already plenty of hype building up for this spectacle. However, it seems that the massive spectacle between both teams could turn out to be a “wash-out”.
Yes, you read it right! The weather reports predict rainfall on the match day i.e. on October 23, Sunday. As a result, we may not be able to witness the epic battle.
