T20 World Cup 2022: South African cricket team have long been criticized for getting crumbled in big stages of the marquee events. This is precisely the reason why they are often referred to as the chokers.
Although they started the ongoing T20 World Cup properly, they literally lacked the killer instinct to finish off games in important stages.
They started their campaign with no result because the rain played spoilsport in the game between Proteas and Zimbabwe. In fact, Proteas were cruising through but rain interrupted the game and ruined their result when they seemed to be the clear winners.
After that, Proteas defeated Bangladesh by a massive margin of 104 runs to announce their arrival in the tournament. They also went on to beat Team India by 6 wickets and grew from strength to strength.

Needless to say, Pakistan cricket team exposed their frailties with ease. Proteas ended up losing their first game of their campaign in a disappointing fashion.
Pakistan beat Proteas by 33 runs based on DLS method. After that, the cricket fraternity saw Proteas getting surrendered at the hands of the Netherlands cricket team by 13 runs.
T20 World Cup 2022: Tom Moody makes a bold comment on South African skipper Temba Bavuma
Meanwhile, Tom Moody made the headlines after he made a bold and straightforward comment on Proteas captain Temba Bavuma. He said Bavuma is an elephant in the room.
Moody further added that there are better players sitting on the bench who should get a chance now. Earlier, many pointed that Bavuma is there in the team due to his captaincy.
However, as a batsman, he has been in terrible form in the T20 World Cup where he registered a series of low scores.
Most of his scores appear to be in the form of single digits. “Temba Bavuma is the elephant in the room. There are better players sitting on the bench who should get a chance now,” Tom Moody added.
