T20 World Cup 2022: Virat Kohli broke Sachin Tendulkar‘s record for most 50+ scores in ICC competitions with his magnificent 82* runs off 53 deliveries against Pakistan at the MCG.

Passing his hero and cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar in terms of the most 50+ scores in International Cricket Council (ICC) tournaments. In the T20 World Cups of 2014 and 2016, the legendary batsman was named Player of the Tournament.

The batting superstar is currently the biggest run-getter in T20Is thanks to his match-winning 82*. Virat has now scored 3,794 runs at an average of 51.97 in 110 games and 102 innings, including a century and 34 50s.

His highest individual score was an unbeaten 122 against Afghanistan. The former captain of India is off to a terrific start and plans to keep it up throughout the competition.Virat Kohli surpassed Sachin Tendulkar with his 24th 50+ score, breaking the record.

Throughout his 61 ICC matches, Sachin scored 2719 runs at an average of 49.43, including seven tons and 16 half-centuries. His highest individual score was 152. In both the 1996 and 2003 World Cups, The Master Blaster finished with the most runs. He received the Player of the Tournament award in 2003 for his 673 runs.

It should be remembered that Tendulkar did not participate in any T20 World Cups. In 61 ICC matches, Kohli has amassed 2486 runs at an average of 60.63, with two hundreds and 22 half-centuries. His highest individual score to far was 107.
