Harbhajan Singh said he would have given Dinesh Karthik a ticket to Australia for the marquee event. India are slated to play the ICC event in October-November.

With plenty of experience in his belt, the selectors should consider him for selection for the marquee event. Meanwhile, Harbhajan Singh heaped praise on Dinesh Karthik for his excellent form.

“Dinesh Karthik has been outstanding for RCB. He is very good at leg side shots than his off sides, excellent at taking singles but I think, over all he understands his game very well.

“Whenever he is left with last chances, he makes sure that he finishes the game. For me, if anyone has played the best role of a finisher in this entire IPL then it is none other than Dinesh Kartik.

“If I were a selector I would have given him a ticket to Australia for World Cup T20 and let him play for India as wicket keeper and batsman because he deserves that,” Harbhajan said while speaking during the Gameplan episode on Star Sports.

Dinesh Karthik has scored 274 runs in 12 games at an excellent batting average of 68.50 including one half-century. Moreover, he maintained a strike-rate of 200. On the other hand, he scored 399 runs in T20Is for India. Overall, he played 225 games in the IPL. He scored 4320 runs where he slammed as many as 20 fifties.
