T20 World Cup: Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was last seen in cricketing action during the T20I series against Australia at home.
The world-class pacer was earlier ruled out of the Asia Cup 2022 tournament due to a back injury. The Indian cricket team missed him in death overs in the super 4 stage of the tournament.
India were eliminated from the competition due to terrible bowling performance. Bumrah would have surely made a difference had he been there for India in Asia Cup.
Meanwhile, the right-arm pacer made a comeback to the T20I series against Australia. He didn’t play the T20I opener against Australia in Mohali.
However, he made a comeback in the second T20I and also played the third T20I. Nonetheless, he wasn’t really sharp and incisive in his bowling approach.
Moreover, he also didn’t play the T20I opener against Proteas in Thiruvanthapuram. A day later, he jetted off the NCA in Bengaluru for his back condition to be monitored.

Just a day ago, a BCCI official confirmed that Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the upcoming edition of the T20 World Cup in Australia.
According to BCCI source, it was learnt that the fast bowler will be out of action for the next 4 to 6 months. This particular news shocked the entire Indian cricket fraternity.
“Bumrah is not going to play the World T20 for sure. He has a serious back condition. It’s a stress fracture and he could be out for a period of six months,” a senior BCCI official told PTI on conditions of anonymity.
Meanwhile, in the latest development, Bumrah is recovering well. According to a report by a Times of India journalist, Bumrah will be fit to play the T20 World Cup.
