T20 World Cup: Team India won the inaugural edition of the Twenty20 World Cup back in 2007 by beating Pakistan in the crucial encounter in South Africa.

India won the first title under the leadership of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Since then, Team India struggled to make a bid for the second title.

They came too close to winning the second title back in 2014 World Cup edition. However, they lost to Sri Lanka in the finals of the tournament.

Since then, India have had near misses as they were eliminated from semi-finals of the competition. However, they do have a chance to win the second title.

The likes of Umran Malik, Kuldeep Sen and Chetan Sakariya are playing in the ongoing Irani Cup tie. On the other hand, Mukesh Choudhary is training in Pune for now.
