According to The Sunday Times, Neymar’s transfer negotiations to take him from Catalunya to Paris have been suspended until the end of July as the transfer saga rages on.
The inflation in the transfer market this season has never been higher. With clubs ready to part with huge sums of money to land their top targets, it’s only fair that PSG are ready to pay a world record fee for one of the best players in the world.
With speculation mounting each passing day, Neymar’s reluctance to speak out about his future with Barcelona has many believing he is ready to depart. According to Marca, PSG are willing to break the world record transfer fee and meet Neymar’s release clause which stands at £197 million.

Neymar’s compatriot and former team-mate at Barcelona, Dani Alves has urged his friend to be brave like him. Dani Alves was quoted by Marca, “I helped him come to Barcelona, I did not make the decision for him, but I told him what Barcelona was like and he decided to move there. Decisions are for the brave and I am the bravest of all.”
“I just want my friend to be happy wherever he is, although obviously if he were here that would be much better.
“It’s a decision you have to make carefully but you have to be selfish. If I could advise one thing it would be: be brave, the world belongs to the brave.”
The Reason:

According to The Sunday Times, a deal has already been agreed that will see the Brazilian take home £26.8 million-per-year and make him one of the best players in the world. All in all the transfer would cost the French side £500 million.

The only reason why the transfer hasn’t gone through is because of Neymar’s dad. Neymar Sr. is due to earn a commission of £23.3 million from Barcelona in persuading Neymar to sign a new contract last October. He would have to forfeit that amount if the player were to leave before the end of July. Therefore, he has asked PSG to delay the negotiations for the transfer until July 31.
Should he earn the staggering amount, Barcelona will have incredibly paid him more than Lionel Messi since 2013.

The player’s father could also receive 10% of the transfer fee that PSG would pay to bring Neymar to Parc des Princes.
