Three Premier League Klubs Keen to Sign Brighton’s Defender

English Premier League is one of the top football leagues across the globe. During the transfer window, all the football fans always keeps the eye on the Premier League clubs. Most of them interested to see the new signings of their favourite club.

The Winter transfer window fastened all the transfer moves and now three Premier League clubs interested to sign Brighton’s fullback Tariq Lamptey. In the summer transfer window clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, etc. didn’t sign more players. So to fill the void from the squad most of the clubs searching for the potential signing.

Report from the 101 Great Goals cleared that English Premier League trio wants to sign former Chelsea young defender. Tariq Lamptey from Brighton is on the radar of a couple of English clubs. His higher performance at lower age attracted everyone.

However, they mentioned that Arsenal are the front runners for Lamptey. Including Manchester City and Everton who are following the North Londoners. All of them looking to strengthen their backline.

Arsenal target Lamptey

Tariq Lamptey arrived at Brighton in the previous winter transfer window i.e January 2020 from Chelsea only at Β£3 million. His lower transfer fee showed the top class business strategy from the Brighton side. As they are fetching ahead to gain more from him and raise the financial books.

Till now fullback Tariq Lamptey stunned everyone by his epic performance. Though he is seating at the sidelines due to his injury he netted once along with three clinching assist. Hence, he appeared in only 11 league games in this football season.

Lamptey extended his contract with Brighton:

In between a couple of transfer news during this month, Brighton defender extended his contract with the club. He signed the deal to stay with the club till June 2025. So his long-term deal created a lot of confusion about his transfer to other clubs. Here is the official announcement of Lamptey’s contract extension:

Tariq Lamptey’s decision to stay for a long time with Brighton surprised the fans. Then also, other English Premier League clubs desires to have him from their side.

Everton and Manchester City linked with Lamptey

Meanwhile, a report from Goal announced that Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, La Liga club Atletico Madrid and English club Arsenal are the main teams who are interested to sign him. Whereas, Arsenal tends to move closer to close his deal than the others.

Gunners won their previous match against Newcastle United by the goal difference of 3-0. Skipper Aubameyang lead the team from the front by striking the first two goals and Saka’s one goal help the Emirates side to triple the lead over opponents.

Why almost all the top clubs want Lamptey from their side?

One of the most important things, Lamptey is just 20-years-old. His three assists and one goal define his attacking nature being a defender. To fasten the attack every team needed such players and Lamptey is one of them.

His lower transfer fee and ability to play at the right-mid force the European club to think twice about him. His potential and skills of playing football developed too early and became one of the advantages for him. Hence, Tariq Lamptey’s signing will come to know after the January transfer window.
