Arsene Wenger believes that title race is not yet over, despite his team’s 3-1 loss against Chelsea on Saturday.
After a phenomenal 3-1 victory against Arsenal on Saturday at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea have put themselves in a safe zone in the title race this season. With 12 points lead at the top, it definitely looks like Antonio Conte’s side might be winning the Premier League.
But Arsene Wenger believes that the season is still not over and a lot of things can happen. “It wasn’t the best we have played but it was important for us,” the Frenchman said. “The title is not finished, a lot of things could happen.”
Eden Hazard’s brilliance with skills and his dribbling ability was praised highly by his boss Antonio Conte. “Hazard always shows quality. I am pleased for him. Today his performance was very good with the ball. But I want to underline without the ball because he worked a lot for the team. When he plays this way he is a complete player,” Conte said. “Only through work and great ability of the players can you change a situation.”
Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses has been one of the best players for them this season. It has also been a great turnaround for Moses in his career under Antonio Conte.
“Players and management have been out for dinner as a big group on a few occasions, most recently just a few weeks ago,” Moses told the Chelsea website.
“We’re like a family here. We all talk to each other a lot and there’s always a good atmosphere around the training ground. We’ve been out for dinner a few times already this season and it’s great for team bonding.”
“It’s always enjoyable and a lot of fun when we do it and it helps us work well together as a team. The dinners have been organised by the manager and all of the players think it’s a great idea.”
Antonio Conte believes the Premier League title race is still wide open despite stretching their lead to 12 points
After a comfortable win against London rivals Arsenal, Chelsea boss said that title race isn’t over.
Conte said “No,” when asked about whether title race is over. He continued “Because [there are] 14 games still to play before the end of the season. There are 42 points to take.”
“For sure, today it was important to win. When you have this type of situation you must exploit but it’s not easy because Arsenal also showed us today to be a great team with great players.”
Chelsea will travel to Turf Moor next weekend, where Burnley has won all their games. It might be a difficult task for Antonio Conte’s men to beat Burnley at their home.
