We are in the last two weeks of the winter transfer window and apart from Gedson’s loan move to Tottenham, the top six teams have done nothing but to be involved in the rumours. (Looking at you Manchester United!) But things are about to heat up in the last phase as we bring you some big names being linked to the top six Premier League clubs:
No winter signings for Arsenal at all?

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has admitted that the Gunners might end up the January transfer window without any new additions. “Things haven’t moved at all since the weekend. There is nothing new to say on any individual players and when we have more info we’ll let you know”, said the Spaniard.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with Bayern’s Jerome Boateng and PSG’s Layvin Kurzawa amongst others in the ongoing transfer window. But the club has failed to make the breakthrough in any of those transfers. Despite no movement in the transfer window, Arteta is still hopeful for a top-four finish. Arsenal currently sit 10th in the table, 10 points behind 4th-placed Chelsea.
Edinson Cavani to Chelsea?

The PSG striker has been linked with a number of clubs as the Uruguayan has entered the last six months of his current contract. PSG’s Sporting Director, Leonardo commented on the veteran’s situation, “Edinson Cavani has asked to leave this month but we’ve refused Atletico Madrid bid.”
The rumours suggest that Cavani might move to Chelsea with Olivier Giroud on the move. The Blues are looking for a striker to help Tammy Abraham in front of the goal. Lampard was asked about the potential transfer and the manager refused to discard a possible move.
Chelsea’s Victor Moses has been called back from Fenerbahçe and the Nigerian has agreed to personal terms with Inter Milan, reported Fabrizio Romano.
Timo Werner to Liverpool in the summer?

According to reports in Bild, Leipzig striker Timo Werner is looking for a move to Liverpool in the summer. Klopp is also a big fan of the 23-year old and the move could go ahead in the summer. The German is one of the most wanted No. 9 in Europe right now and has been heavily linked with Bayern Munich. But Werner has actually made life difficult for the Bavarians with 20 league goals this season as RB Leipzig sit at the top of Bundesliga, 4 points ahead of Bayern.
Manchester City to enter Bruno Fernandes race:

We finally have a new update on the Bruno Fernandes transfer but it is not something United fans will like. According to reports in Portuguese outlet Correio da Manha, City are planning to make an £86m bid for the Portuguese which could make things extremely difficult for their city rivals.
United had reportedly agreed to personal terms with the midfielder but have failed to strike a deal with Sporting. But with Manchester City’s £86m bid, the Citizens could take the pole position for Bruno.
Manchester United to find Rashford replacement:

Marcus Rashford is likely to be on the sidelines for three months after suffering a back injury during the FA Cup replay. And United are now in the market for a short-term replacement for their No. 10. The Red Devils are looking for a striker and although there is no name, in particular, being discussed, Edinson Cavani is likely to be on United’s shortlist, given the striker’s contract situation.
As for the Bruno situation, City’s bid could make things difficult for United. But after Rashford’s injury, United have decided to push harder for the Portuguese’s signing. Although Bruno is an attacking midfielder, he has already scored 13 goals and created 10 for Sporting this season. The reports in Daily Record have even suggested that Fernandes has told his friends that he is confident about a move to United.
Spurs hunt for a striker and Eriksen update:

After Harry Kane’s injury, which has put the Englishman on the sidelines for the rest of the season, Spurs are looking for a temporary No. 9. And just like Chelsea and Manchester United, Edinson Cavani is one of the possible options for the Lilywhites as well.
A few other names like Krzysztof Piatek AC Milan, Real’s Luka Jovic and Islam Slimani of Leicester City are being discussed. But Spurs will have to move quickly in order to sign a striker before 31st January.
Inter, on the other hands, are hell-bent on bringing Eriksen to Milan in the month of January itself. The Italian side has reportedly submitted the second bid of £11m for the midfielder, according to Sky Sports. Club’s sporting director, Piero Ausilio commented on the situation saying, “We just made an official bid to Tottenham to sign Christian Eriksen and now we’re waiting. Many clubs are interested but we are confident – trying to get a top player like Eriksen.”
