With every new season, comes a new EA Sports game which always catches the eyes of the football fans. The 17th installment of EA Sports’ FIFA game has released its’ ratings which surprised many of the football viewers. Have a look at the top 10 goalkeepers in the new FIFA game which will have some raised eyebrows at the end of the article.
- Keylor Navas (Real Madrid):
The Costa Rican international is rated 10th best goalkeeper in FIFA 17. He has an overall rating of 85 after an outstanding year with Real Madrid. Navas, 29, became Real Madrid’s first-choice keeper after a failed transfer move to Manchester United. However he eventually stayed at the Spanish Capital and proved all his critics wrong with outstanding performances throughout the season.
- Bernd Leno (Bayer Leverkusen):
German international, Leno, is rated the 9th best goalkeeper in FIFA 17. The young 24-year-old has an overall FIFA rating of 86 making him the 2nd best goalkeeper from Bundesliga in the EA Sports’ game. The Bayer Leverkusen shotstopper, joined the team as a 19-year-old and quickly rose to become their first-choice keeper. The goalkeeper is thought to be a brilliant future prospect for Germany.
- Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid):
Atletico’s star, Oblak features as the 8th best shotstopper in FIFA 17. The Slovenian international had an outstanding year with Atletico Madrid earning him an overall rating of 87. The 23-year-old is considered a bright prospect for the Madrid outfit, already having created his permanent place in the starting XI. His outstanding saves will tempt users to play with him in the game.
- Samir Handanovič (Inter Milan):
The Inter Milan man is the 7th best goalkeeper in FIFA’s 17th installment. The experienced 32-year-old earns himself a rating of 87 with a brilliant individual season with Inter. The former Slovenian goalkeeper saved Inter Milan in a lot of games last season and helped save Inter Milan from a further slump in the Serie A table. A brilliant goalkeeper he is regarded as one of the best in Italy.
- Petr Čech (Arsenal):
Experienced Czech Republic shotstopper is the 6th best goalkeeper to play with in FIFA 17. The current Arsenal man had a good season with the Gunners after dropping second-choice at Chelsea. The keeper played well in Czech Republic’s short Euro 16 campaign but couldn’t help them from a group-stage exit. The 88-rated goalkeeper is still rated amongst the best keepers in the world at 34.
- Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus):
The evergreen Italy legend, Gianluigi Buffon is rated as the 5th best goalkeeper in FIFA 17. The Juventus shotstopper is still one of the best in the business at 38, being rated 88 in EA Sports’ new game. Buffon had a brilliant season with Juventus in the Serie A winning the 5th Serie A title in a row. The 38-year-old also has a brilliant campaign with Italy in the recently concluded Euro 2016.
- Hugo Lloris (Tottenham Hotspur):
Tottenham and France skipper, Lloris is surprisingly placed at number 4 as the best goalkeeper in FIFA 17. The 30-year-old Frenchman is given an overall rating of 88 after a marvelous season with Tottenham finishing 3rd in the Premier League. Lloris also featured in all of France’s 7 games in the Euro 2016, unfortunately conceding a late winner in the final against Portugal.
- Thibaut Courtois (Chelsea):
The Chelsea man has earned the 3rd best goalkeeper spot in EA’s newest game. The 24-year-old Belgium international has an overall rating of 89 in the game, even after a poor team season with Chelsea last campaign. However, Courtois was brilliant at the Euro 2016 with Belgium which would have helped his case to be one of the best keeper in the game.
- David De Gea (Manchester United):
Manchester United’s superstar, David De Gea, is the 2nd best keeper in FIFA 17. The Spanish international has enjoyed brilliant individual seasons over the past few years to earn him an overall rating of 90 in EA Sports FIFA’s 17th installment. A splendid individual year and a solid Euro 2016 campaign with Spain makes him the best goalkeeper from the Premier League.
- Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich):
Germany’s shotstopper remains the best goalkeeper in FIFA 17 after another outstanding season with Bayern Munich. The 30-year-old goalkeeper has earned a rating of 92 in FIFA 17 after another great individual season with Bayern Munich and Germany. The keeper has remained the best goalkeeper in the world over the past few years and will be one of the stars to play with in FIFA 17.
