Lets face it: every club is uniquely adored and liked among the fans, but then, there are certain things each set of fans do or say that are funny. Especially, when it comes to Chelsea fans, particularly because of how often they get trolled for not having any history, buying players, etc. So, here’s a list of the top 5 things that Chelsea players often say!
Note: This is in no way meant to be derogatory or offensive, its just an article compiling a list of things they normally say.
- We miss Eva
Eva Carneiro was perhaps the only thing about Chelsea that attracted even rival fans to the club. Any woman associated with football becomes instantly more attractive, and nothing is more attractive than a woman being the physio of a men’s club. Fans loved her, rivals loved her and everything was perfect…. Until, Mourinho came in and sacked her, leaving fans devastated. Chelsea fans probably felt sadder than they did when Mata left!
- In Roman we trust
Roman Abrahimovich – the big daddy of the football world. Loaded with money and power, Chelsea fans treat him like God. In fact, anytime a manager starts messing up, the fans end up chanting his name like it’s a holy book, and BOOM, Chelsea signs a new manager. Basically, if managers were like dating, Roman would be the biggest playboy around.
- Diego Costa is a %$#@, but its okay, he’s our %$#@
Chelsea fans probably use this line more than Joey’s “How you doin’” in Friends. Its like a love-hate relationship they share with Costa – they find him too aggressive and unruly, but at the same time, they are also his fans! They find it okay to hurl all sorts of abuses at him, but the minute a non-Chelsea fan does that, its as good as inviting death.
- Messi never scored against Chelsea
Once, just ONCE did this actually happen and Chelsea fans hang onto it like alcoholics hang onto alcohol! It could’ve happened with anyone, but do they get it? Nope.
- London is Blue
This is probably the most over-used line by all Chelsea fans. Their mentality is a little something like this: “Oh, London has other teams too? No no, as far as we are concerned, it is Chelsea all the way! London bleeds blue!” If this was high school, Chelsea would be like Regina George.
