Tottenham Hotspur was seen making attempts to win points but eventually, it ended as Jose Mourinho’s side missed a point in a 1-1 draw against Fulham on Wednesday night. Tottenham was once ruling the scoreboard in this campaign however continuous fall in points made them sit sixth in the league table. The Lily whites took the lead after Harry Kane gave away the header in the first half, radiating the positive energy. However, the first-hand lead failed to extend the second half where Tottenham was caught cold by Ivan Cavaleiro. There were players who played at the point and some were too predictable to reach the top.
Serge Aurier and Sergio Reguilon both were involved in bringing the avenues at creating chances for their teammate. Aurier set up a goal for Son within 20 minutes but it was only meant to get saved in the end. Tanguy Ndombele was seen cropping up everywhere and playing a delightful chip over the top for Son.
While Hugo Lloris was also seen digging in during the last 15 minutes. Other than this Harry Kane was seen struggling to make another powerful impact and Son got into a number of good positions and opportunities to give a goal but failed to score. While the rest of them was also seen struggling for a goal. However, it was the night of Tottenham’s fullbacks.
Jose Mourinho’s opinion over the draw

Tottenham head coach faced the questions following the 1-1 draw against Fulham. The questions mostly revolved around the performance to which Mourinho said that it wasn’t good enough but good enough to win a game. He told the team was not good enough because they need to play better and in a more consistent way. He continued that his side created four to five big chances and that is good. Also, the game gives Hugo Lloris a quiet evening.
Afterward, Mourinho commented on Fulham’s performance and said that he expected the difficult game. Because they adopted different games, different strategies to organize things. since that moment Fulham is getting good results.
When Mourinho was asked that if it is a distress that Tottenham isn’t killing the games to which Mourinho replied that the first half was filled with chances. The 20-year old winger Jack Clarke is set to finalize a loan move to Stoke City. Clarke is set to move till the end of the season after the two clubs agreed on the final details of the season loan. Tottenham Hotspur denied any loan offer for the winger last summer as the newly recruited Jose Mourinho wanted to rake a closer kook at Clarke who was signed from Leeds United in 2019.
The aim was to play the winger closely alongside the players like Harry Kane, Gareth Bale, and Son Heung Min. The move to the eighteen placed club in the Champions League was decided by Jose Mourinho to prepare as he sees him as a long term player for Spurs.
Even though both the previous loan moves haven’t been a very successful business for Clarke. Once the loan move is announced then it would be the first January transfer for Tottenham Hotspur.
Mauricio Pochettino celebrated his first-ever trophy
After spending a year without managing any team Mauricio Pochettino was Sacked by Tottenham Hotspur in November 2019. Pochettino marked a return to the management on January 3 to his surprise he has won the first-ever trophy of his management career with Paris Saint Germain.
The puzzled departure of Thomas Tuchel invited Pochettino to kick start his management career once again.
