Tottenham Hotspur‘s out-of-favour midfielder Tanguy Ndombele may leave Spurs permanently, as Napoli is looking to sign him on a permanent basis. His fine form has helped his current club lead the Serie A table after a long time.
The French midfielder left Tottenham Hotspur for a fee of €1million on a loan deal to Naples this summer. Since coming to Serie A, he is doing pretty well in the midfield.
Ndombele joined the Spurs side when Pochetion was in charge. Tottenham paid a €62 million transfer fee and an additional €10 million as add-ons for future performances. He became the Spurs’ record signing and still is.
Since his arrival, he had ups and downs in his time in Premier League. But after Conte’s arrival, he was left out of the squad. It looks like he is getting back his form.

While playing at Lyon, Tanguy Ndombele was one of the brightest talents in European football. Both Manchester clubs and Real Madrid were linked with him. But the Frenchman made his move to the Premier League in 2019. In his stint at Spurs, he returned once to his former club on a loan deal.
Napoli has a purchase option of €30 million in his loan deal. But the Serie A side is not eager to trigger such a large fee for the Frenchman.
As per reports from Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, Napoli is looking at signing Ndombele on a permanent deal. His recent performances have pleased manager Luciano Spalletti. Being out of favour at Tottenham, the Serie A giant is hoping to make the deal done pretty easily.
Ndombele was heavily criticised while he was playing at Spurs. The Frenchman was being booed during Tottenham’s FA Cup win over Morecambe in January of this year.
But Conte did not defend him as he said: “You have to be good to change the opinions. I was a player and it happened sometimes to me that someone was unhappy with my performance.”
The 25-year-old has made eight appearances so far in Serie A and also featured in the 3-2 win over Bologna on Sunday. Napoli is currently at top of the table with 2 points ahead of last year’s champion Milan.
Tottenham Hotspur’s Other Loaned-Out Players

If this deal happens, Tottenham Hotspur will be able to cash in on their biggest transfer flop. But Spurs’ other two loaned-out players are not doing well at their respective clubs. Sergio Reguilon and Harry Winks departed north London at the end of the summer transfer window.
Reguilon joined Atletico on a season-long loan deal, but still to make an appearance. The same goes for Winks as well. Both players struggling with injury and are long away to get back to game fitness.
