Tottenham Hotspurs are reportedly interested in Lille forward as Real Madrid looks to interfere. Defensa Central claim Los Blancos are looking for young prospects and have scouted the Lille duo Osimhen and Soumare. Both the players have been in the shortlist of Premier League Clubs for a long time. One of them was almost on the verge of joining Newcastle in the winter.
Real Madrid Situation

Real Madrid have been rather perambulant about their transfers ever since Ronaldo has left Santiago Bernabéu. Hazard was brought in from Chelsea, while pockets were dug deep for a host of Brazilians. Vinicius, Rodrigo and now Reiner have all been the latest ones to kiss the golden logo. But Peres seems to have an unquenchable thirst for firepower in the field.

Talking of offence, Madrid have admired Kylian Mbappe for a very long time. It is even expected that the 13-time UCL Champions will pounce on the Frenchman this summer too. But certain reports claim they are aiming for two more Ligue 1 youngsters Victor Osimhen and Boubakary Soumare who will come at a combined price of £60 million.
Tottenham Hotspurs and Newcastle’s role

Newcastle, once had a strong French influence with likes of Ben Arfa, Debuchy and Cabaye playing at St. James’ Park. But the particular combination has not really clicked very well over time. This might very well be the reason why Soumare’s deal did not really materialise in the winter. The Lille midfielder was heavily linked with the Magpies, as they were ready to shell out £35 million. However, the transfer didn’t pull of as the window slammed shut.

Tottenham, however, have a different narrative to their transfer ambitions – Injuries. “We have zero strikers on the pitch, in the stands, they are in hospital”, was what the ‘Special One’ said after Chelsea defeated them 2-1. Naturally, with Kane and Son injured, Mourinho is looking for strikers. Osinheim fits the bill perfectly. Bergwin has been a great signing for Spurs and Osinheim, too has age at his advantage. Just 21 now, he signed for Lille for £10.8 million last summer. In his debut campaign has 13 goals and four assists in 24 league starts. If Tottenham can have him for a fair value, he can potentially be a bargain in the future.
