The former United boss will have to stretch the transfer budget if they want to sign the 22-year-old in the January transfer window. The reports claim West Ham added a price tag of over £50million.

Apparently, The manager became his fan after the Hammers beat the Red Devils last season.
Mourinho on Diop
“He had a fantastic match.
“Congratulations to the scout that found a 21-year-old kid Diop – a monster who dominated in the duels.”
On Friday, Toby Alderweireld penned a new contract with the Lilywhites to commit his future to the White Hart lane. The contract will keep him at the club until 2023 and Mourinho wants his fellow Belgium teammate to follow copy him.
He said in his press conference before facing Chelsea.
“I would like Jan to sign a new contract,”
However, Mourinho is keen to tie up Vertonghen with a new contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Despite his interest in making an exit from Spurs.
The Portuguese have had a revitalising effect since he replaced Pochetino. The impact of a star player staying at the club will have other star-studded players of the club to stay. Diop fulfills all the qualities needed for a centre back but this time Mourinho seems to make his squad strong by convincing his old players.
