Transfer Updates: Arsenal to lose a key man,Chelsea striker signing

A week after the opening of January transfer window, Premier League clubs have started their negotiations with several players.

The news from Stamford Bridge suggests that Antonio Conte is looking to sign Swansea striker Fernando Llorente this month.

Chelsea boss has already worked with the Spanish striker when they both were at Juventus.

Fernando Llorente

The Sun reports that Conte is ready for a sensational swoop for Llorente in January. This has emerged as one of the surprising news, as the Blues already have a goal scoring striker upfront. Even if the 31-year-old striker joins Chelsea this month, it will be difficult for him to replace in-form Diego Costa in the lineup.

In addition, Chelsea boss has an intention of letting his summer signing Michy Batshuayi go on loan to Swansea till the end of the season. As of now, there has been no confirmation on whether the deal will go through or not. The Belgian striker has failed to make an impact in front of his boss, as Batshuayi hasn’t started a single Premier League game this season. Since his £33million move from Marseille last summer, he hasn’t made the headlines at Stamford Bridge yet.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Conte wants to re-unite with Llorente, thereby having a backup for Diego Costa. The Premier League table-toppers will be looking to add more attacking options in their team, as they continue their title-race.

On the other side of London, Arsenal is finding it difficult to keep a hold of their star player Alexis Sanchez.

The Mirror reports that French champions Paris Saint-Germain are looking to sign Sanchez from Arsenal next summer. As per the reports, PSG have urged Sanchez to stall any contract offer from Arsenal till next transfer window. PSG will be ready to sign Sanchez at any cost, as they have started facing difficulties in competing with their rivals in Ligue 1 this season.

The 28 year old Chilean has been one of the best players for Arsenal in the past couple of seasons. But there are rumours that Sanchez is unhappy at Emirates and is looking for a move to a new club. Sanchez has currently 18 months left in his contract with Gunners.

Former Barcelona star is linked with a move to various European clubs as his situation at Arsenal is still doubtful. Sanchez has been the best players for Arsenal this season, scoring 15 goals and providing 13 assists in 26 appearances in all competitions. It is understood that Gunners are prepared to pay Sanchez around £200,000-a-week to keep in him at Emirates.
