Trevoh Chalobah Injury News: Chelsea worried as defender limps off against Watford

Trevoh Chalobah Injury News: Chelsea won 2-1 against Watford in the Premier League on Wednesday night. A hard-toiled win for the visitors as they were by far the second best team in the game but still managed to scrape the win.

Watford was by far playing the better football. They were first to the half chances and were pressuring Chelsea’s defence. However credit must go to Chelsea for taking the chances which came their way.

Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy was tremendous once again and had to be at his best. Mendy was called into action multiple times and matched the Watford forwards efforts.

Probably the only other Chelsea player who looked positive from the onset was youngster Mason Mount. The English international scored the first goal as well after a cool finish into the bottom corner.

Mason Mount was once again into the action as he delivered the assist for the winner by Hakim Ziyech. He got in behind the left-hand side of Watford and delivered a fine cross to Hakim Ziyech who finished emphatically.

Although this was not the best performance from Chelsea, it’s a mark of Champions. The winners are always capable of winning games in which they are not the better team. Liverpool and Manchester City have shown this in previous seasons.

However, one unfortunate event that happened with Chelsea was losing out on Trevoh Chalobah. The youngster got injured in the second half and had to be substituted. He was replaced by Hakim Ziyech.

Trevoh Chalobah was seen limping off after the hour mark. The injury worries are growing for Thomas Tuchel. At the moment N’golo Kante, Matteo Kovacic, and Ben Chilwell are all out for them.

He is a player despite being so young who plays like an experienced professional,” said Thiago Silva.”And that makes me really happy because I’m there alongside him playing the same position and I can see how he’s performing, how he’s developing.

He is a player who I knew from France where he was playing at a lower level for Lorient and he’s made the step up and he’s playing here because he deserves to.

Some people said that he didn’t have the ability to do so but he’s made it because of his own capacities. That’s something that makes me really happy because a player like Trevoh Chalobah is the future of this club.”

The Blues return to action on the sixth of December against London rivals West Ham United. It’s another crucial game for the league leaders. Moreover, they have to manage their squad extremely carefully given the injury worries.
