Everything is not fine in Barcelona as it looks. According to some reports, Leo Messi and Luis Suarez have angered Ousmane Dembele with their support of Philippe Coutinho.
Barcelona smashed the transfer record previously held by Ousmane Dembele to sign Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool earlier this month. Coutinho’s move to Barcelona is the second most expensive transfer of all time, trailing the whopping amount of £198 Million which Paris Saint-Germain paid Barcelona for Neymar last summer. The transfer also broke the record for the highest fee ever paid by a Spanish team, with Barcelona paying around €120 million up front and the remaining €40 million in add-ons for the Brazilian.

A thigh injury sustained prior to his move kept Coutinho out of action for three weeks. And now the time has come when we will see the Brazilian playmaker in action. But it is reported that the Brazilian’s move didn’t go down well with Dembele.
Spanish website Diario Gol are claiming that the duo of Messi and Suarez have angered Dembele with their support of Philippe Coutinho. It is said that Coutinho spent most of his time with his former Liverpool teammate Suarez who happens to be spending most of his time with Messi and hence three of them form a trio. In other words one can say that Suarez and Messi have found Coutinho to be the perfect substitute of Neymar Jr, both on the pitch and outside of it, leaving aside the one came to fill that role: Dembele.

Dembele has endured a very different kind of start to his Camp Nou career that what he must’ve expected after injuries hampered his progress at the club. And now his frustrations with the club appear to be boiling over. It is even said that Suarez and Messi would both rather play with Coutinho than Dembele. Yet whether Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde listens to their advice or not remains to be seen.
Surely this could have a negative impact on Dembele’s future. The Frenchmen is still new to the club and in such times he surely needs someone to hang on with. This could also hamper his confidence and can also stop him from reaching his best at the club.
