Manchester United fans are keeping a close eye on the club’s activities since the beginning of the January transfer window. United are expected to bring in reinforcements to consolidate their injury-prone squad. One of United’s summer transfer targets, Jack Grealish has dropped a major transfer hint on Twitter. The Aston Villa captain has been in fine form this season for the newly-promoted Premier League side.

A certain United fan showed his creativity on Twitter with Jack Grealish’s picture. The Aston Villa star is shown celebrating a goal against United at the Old Trafford. This tweet by Marwan Ahmed was accompanied by his wish – “This but in a red shirt.

This tweet was initially liked by Jack Grealish. But soon enough, he unliked it and retweeted the same image with a different caption in order to cover up his accidental reveal. This time, the tweet read – “This but in claret and blue in front of the Holte on the 21st.

Jack Grealish’s goal at Old Trafford is one of his all-time favorites

To the delight of Manchester United fans, this is not the first time that Jack Grealish has shown his interest in playing for them. In an earlier interview with Sky Sports, the England International winger had claimed that the goal shown above is his favorite one. In fact, he mentioned that he’d always want to play at the Old Trafford.

The Aston Villa forward was one of the crucial transfer targets for the Red Devils last summer. But at the moment, the chances of Grealish making a move to the Old Trafford in January look dim. After losing out the race to sign Eric Haaland, Manchester United now have their focus on acquiring the services of Sporting Lisbon’s 25-year-old midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

Jack Grealish can be considered close to a direct replacement for Jese Lingard. Moreover, he has been the only positive for a struggling Aston Villa side who are currently in the relegation zone (18th position) of the Premier League. This little incident on Twitter has certainly got the fans on the edges of their seats.
