Delhi Capitals wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has been a below-average performer in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. Rishabh Pant hardly showcased his mettle with the bat this season.

Besides his below-par batting performance, he came under fire for his poor wicket-keeping skills. Rishabh Pant has played eight games so far in the United Arab Emirates. He managed to score as many as 217 runs.

With a modest average of 31, Rishabh Pant has been striking the balls in excess of 117. Pant was heavily criticized for his poor shot selection, a mistake that he has been committing more often than not.

Besides that, he has been making silly mistakes behind the stumps. During the IPL match against Kings XI Punjab, Delhi Capitals’ wicket-keeper Pant missed an easy stumping chance to get rid of Nicholas Pooran.

Pant plays no-look scoop in DC vs KKR game

During the match between KKR and Delhi Capitals in Abu Dhabi, Rishabh Pant hogged the limelight for playing a terrific shot. The wicket-keeper-batsman played a no-look scoop off Prasidh Krishna’s bowling.

Kolkata Knight Riders’ bowler Prasidh Krishna pitched the ball short towards Rishabh Pant. The left-handed batsman moved to his left side and perfectly played a no-look scoop shot, which went for a six.

In the process, Rishabh Pant became the 21st batsman to smash a century of sixes in the history of the Indian Premier League. The eye-catching incident took place during the very second ball of the fifth over bowled by Krishna.

Rishabh Pant ended up scoring 27 off 33 balls with the help of two fours and a six. Apart from the perfectly executed no-look scoop shot, Pant didn’t play well. He consumed more deliveries and played at a strike rate of 81.
