Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest in Manchester United’s Bastian Schweinsteiger and Manchester City’s Yaya Toure after both of the veteran stars are considered as surplus to the requirements by their respective club managers, Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola.

Reports in England have linked both Schweinsteiger and Toure to the Paris club after both of the experienced midfielders could not find their place in their team’s squad. Unai Emery, the new PSG manager is looking to land the experienced midfielders at the Parc Des Princes for an amount of £1.5 million each.

However, Schweinsteiger, who refused a move to Sporting Lisbon this past transfer window, argued that he wants to end his career at the Old Trafford since joining the Red Devils in 2015.

Nevertheless, the World Cup winner was forced to train with the reserves by new manager, Jose Mourinho and was simultaneously left out of Manchester United’s photoshoot last week. The German earns £180,000-a-week at the Manchester club and still has two years left in his contract with the club.

Manchester City outcast, Yaya Toure is an attractive option for Unai Emery after fallout between his agent and Pep Guardiola. The 33-year-old is contracted at the Etihad till the end of the season and has only featured once this campaign. Guardiola has insisted that Toure will not play for City again unless his agent apologises to the club and him.

Toure’s representative, Seluk condemned Guardiola’s action of excluding Toure from City’s Champions League squad and has denied to apologise to Guardiola.

The Ivorian, who currently earns £230,000-a-week at the Etihad will be allowed to play for PSG in the Champions League along with Bastian Schweinsteiger, as Toure was excluded from City’s UCL squad and Bastian Schweinsteiger’s Manchester United failed to qualify for the UCL ths campaign.
