Manchester United have finally parted ways with Jose Mourinho after the Red Devils succumbed to 3-1 defeat at Liverpool.
Following Manchester United 3-1 defeat at Liverpool, the club has sacked Jose Mourinho. Mourinho replaced Louis Van Gaal and joined the club in May 2016. He was brought with an aim to the coveted English Premier League title, but the former Real Madrid gaffer failed to achieve it.
United’ dismal performance this season only aggravated the need for sacking and Liverpool’s victory over their arch-rivals was the final nail in Mourinho’s coffin. The club, in an official statement, said that a caretaker coach will be appointed until the end of the season.
“Manchester United announces that manager Jose Mourinho has left the club with immediate effect. The club would like to thank Jose for his work during his time at Manchester United and to wish him success in the future. A new caretaker manager will be appointed until the end of the current season, while the club conducts a thorough recruitment process for a new, full-time manager.”, read the statement.

Ex-Manchester United defender Patrice Evra expressed his annoyance over people so focussed on discussing Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba.
The thing that is annoying me the most right now is why are people so focused on @paulpogba and Jose Mourinho. Let’s focus on rebuilding something solid instead of being in a playground. Doing this is only disrespecting the badge, from now we only need positivity. #ManUtd #MUFC pic.twitter.com/ClmWqmgf7G
