Manchester United are linked with multiple players. Ole and Woodward are working on a number of the deal before the deadline day.
Manchester United are getting linked with plenty of players in this transfer window. The most notable transfer activity will be United’s pursuit for Jadon Sancho. Red Devils are linked with Borussia Dortmund forward for all over the summer transfer window.
Jadon Sancho has been a key priority target for Man United but still no positive signs of that happening soon. Borussia Dortmund are keen on their asking price for the English International. Dortmund convinced that the 21-year-old winger will remain at Signal Iduna Park for another year.
Dortmund are holding on £120m transfer fee which United are reluctant to match. That has made German giants boss Lucien Favre to get his player to stay in German.
They have recently signed midfielder Donny Van De Beek from Ajax for a transfer fee of £40m. There will be no incomings in midfield for the United with the likes of Pogba, Bruno and De Beek.
Man United boss Ole looking for alternatives to Jadon Sancho
Other options will not be a priority for the English giants as they feel well settled with every position. If a player becomes available for the right price then only United will pursuit.
Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale has emerged as a transfer target for the United in recent times. Gareth Bale has struggled for a regular place under the management of Zinedine Zidane. Bale also previously linked with an Old Trafford move but no official bid made from the United in past.
Bale is now looking for an exit at Santiago Bernabeu, mostly return to English Premier League. Tottenham Hotspur also keeping tabs on their former winger if the player decided to lower his wages.
Douglas Costa is also a possible target for the United if the Sancho saga ends in vein. Costa is on the transfer list at Juventus, new manager Andrea Pirlo looking to offload him in this transfer window.
David Brooks from the recently relegated Bournemouth side has also linked with a United move. But Wales International transfer fee is around £50m according to Bournemouth. United management is not in favor to match this asking price also.
Transfer update on Sergio Reguilon and Alex Telles:
Manchester United are in the market for a new left-back to provide more competition to Luke Shaw. Porto’s Alex Telles and Real Madrid’s Sergio Reguilon linked with an Old Trafford move in recent weeks.
Sergio Reguilon has been made available by Zidane, who already posses Marcelo and Ferland Mendy in his ranks as left-back. Real Madrid have put a £27m price on a Spanish fullback which United are unwilling to match. They are making an offer below the asking price to see Real Madrid’s stance on this deal.
Reguilon also strongly linked with a return to Sevilla, the player also stated his desire to join them.
Porto’s left-back Alex Telles is another option Solskjaer willing to sign for United. According to recent reports, Porto has lowered their asking price for Brazilian left-back to a £20m. Telles has only a year left on his contract with Portuguese giants so it will be an affordable option for the Red Devils.
Transfer update on Chris Smalling
Chris Smalling has consistently linked with Italian giants Roma since his return from loan. United and Roma are currently negotiating a transfer fee for the English central defender. Manchester United recently rejected Roma’s £9m offer for the defender. United are hoping to get around £20m from the sale of Smalling.
