Swinging his bat like a sword and celebrating his achievements in unique ways is something that reminds us of Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. He has recently gained the top spot in the ICC all-rounder rankings and has maintained his top rank in the ICC Test bowler rankings as well.
On this occasion, Indian skipper Virat Kohli posted a very special message for his ‘sword master’. Congratulating the all-rounder, Virat Kohli wrote, “Big Congratulations to our word master Mr Jadega for becoming the Number 1 test all rounder with @ashwinravi99. Well done jaddu! @imjadeja.”

Jadeja played a match-winning role for India in the second test of the ongoing series against Sri Lanka. He took five second-innings wickets as India bowled out the Sri Lankans for 386 runs. With bat also, he performed really well and scored unbeaten 70 runs in the first innings.
Virat Kohli appreciated his performance and termed him as a ‘Valuable Cricketer’during a press conference, saying
He can give you a very quick 60-70 anywhere at any stage and it can really turn the game……He is always in the game. I would say he is a very valuable cricketer for us
Jadeja thanked Kohli and Dhoni after getting the top spot:
After claiming the top spot at the ICC all-rounder rankings, Jadeja took to twitter to express his gratitude to skipper Virat Kohli and former skipper MS Dhoni.
He wrote,”My humble journey 2 be #1Test AllRounder and Bowler was possible due 2 @msdhoni @imVkohli, my fans & family #bcci #icc #teamindia #rajputboy.”

Jadeja was presented with Man of the Match award for his spectacular performance during the second test against Sri Lanka. However, he will not be seen in the third test owing to the one-match ban imposed by the ICC after he threw a ball at a Sri Lankan batsman, which umpires termed as a dangerous manner.
Ravindra Jadeja has always proved his credibility with his wicket taking abilities. Be it the Champions trophy 2013 or the ongoing test series against Sri Lanka, he has always given his best. Hopefully, he will continue to shine and take the Indian cricket to new heights.
