Chennai Super Kings have already begun their full fledged preparations for the 12th editions of the IPL at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. While most of the local players joined this camp earlier in the week, senior players like former Indian skipper MS Dhoni, Shardul Thakur and Kedar Jadhav were expected to join the rest of the team a week ahead of their opening game in IPL 2019. The trio were spotted arriving at the stadium on Friday putting an end to a week long wait.
Dhoni will be leading CSK as they begin their title defense taking on Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore in the season opener on March 23. Dhoni seems to have flown in with his Indian teammates Shardul and Kedar, who took to his official Instagram handle to share a photograph from their journey. The CSK Skipper was also spotted having breakfast with head coach Stephen Fleming, who has been working with the three-time champions for over a year now.
Dhoni was greeted with a rousing reception on arriving at the Chennai Airport and the warm welcomes continued all the way to the Team Hotel. He was spotted donning a gray T-shirt and an orange cap as he made his way from the airport to the Team Hotel. It was all crazy scenes at the MA Chidambaram Stadium as the former Indian skipper stepped out donning the Yellow Jersey for the first time in the Chennai Super Kings nets.
