Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni might no longer be in his prime but he continues to enjoy a tremendous fan following wherever he goes. The 37 year old’s charisma and popularity are secret to none and the cricketing world once again received a glimpse of the same when he stepped out the exit gate at the Vizag International Airport on Friday as the men in blue gear up for their home assignment against Australia.
A plethora of fans had gathered outside the airport to catch a glimpse of their cricketing hero. The group of fans who had waited for long to meet their idol, could not stop themselves from shouting his name as soon as the veteran made his appearance. The chants were so loud that that the security personnel had to get involved in order to keep the mob under control.
The Indian Cricket Team are scheduled to play their first match against Australia at Vizag on February 24 in the first of the two T20Is. The upcoming series and the ODI series to follow will be the last opportunity for the men in blue to finalize their squad ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 to be played in less than four months.
