The ongoing ODI series between India and Australia has belonged to the men in blue, who have outplayed the visitors in every department in the two games played in the series so far. The men in blue currently lead the five match series 2-0 as they shift their focus towards the third ODI to be played at the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) Stadium in Ranchi on Friday.
Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni will be under spotlight as the Virat Kohli led Indian side gear up to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series. The game could be Dhoni’s final appearance in Indian colours at his hometown stadium if he decides to hang his boots from international cricket after 2019 World Cup. The occasion cannot get any bigger as the two time World Cup winning skipper will look to take guard at the centre on Friday.

The excitement in Ranchi is presently at its peak as fans cannot wait for the game to start as they would probably get to witness the local boy playing for the first time at his home ground since October 2016. Ahead of the game, Dhoni was surrounded by a group of fans just as he was preparing to leave the field after the day’s practice. The fans were insisted him to take pictures and sign autographs for them. Dhoni was seen obliging to their requests as he agreed to sign autographs for each one of them.
The BCCI took to Twitter to share a couple of video capsules to try and capture the enigma and madness around ‘local boy’ Dhoni ahead of the third encounter of the five-ODI rubber versus Australia. The BCCI captioned the video as “No surprises here – Quite the Flavour in Ranchi – @msdhoni #TeamIndia #INDvAUS”
