Defending champions CSK are all set to kickstart their campaign in the 2019 edition of the IPL against RCB in the tournament opener at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on March 23. The Yellow Army will be playing their second match in their home stadium in three years after being force to shift their base to Pune owing to the Cauvery water dispute following their return from a two year ban imposed on the three time winners in 2013.
The players from both the teams had an intense training session under the lights at Chepauk on Thursday, two days ahead of the opening clash. CSK Skipper MS Dhoni was greeted by a group of young fans in the stands chanting his name as he was making his way towards the dressing room after practice. The CSK skipper, in return, decided to make it a day for the young guns who had come all the way to the venue just to watch their favourite hero in action ahead of the all important opener.
The 37 year jumped over the fence to sign autographs for his young fans, making it a day to remember for them. The delight on the faces of the young fans was evident of how much the gesture meant to them. The gesture from the veteran proves exactly why he is one of the most loved and respected cricketers around the globe. The moment was captured in a recent video shared from CSK’s official twitter handle who captioned it as “The #Yellove on the faces of all the kids out there defines #Thala and the #AnbuDen! #WhistlePodu”
